Big Brew - anytime to suit you during 2017
If you don’t fancy jumping out of a plane or running 5k then perhaps you can hold a Big Brew for us.   You can get your friends, family or work colleagues together and raise funds for St. Luke’s Hospice.  Big Brew is about enjoying a cup of tea, coffee and delicious cakes or wine, beer and a BBQ or a mixture of all the above with new and old friends.   Your Big Brew can be whatever you want it to be a gathering of friends in your front room, garden party, a community get-together in your local hall or even close your road and have an  street party, it can be so much fun for everyone, young an old.   Whatever you decide to do St. Luke’s will be there to support you.   We have two important week during the year relating to the Hospice Dying Matters Week and Hospice Care Week why not raise funds during those weeks   Dying Matters 8th May to 14th May 2017   Hospice Care Week 9th October to 15th October 2017   It is simple to register just call me on 01268 524973 or email mailto:dianechester@stlukeshospice.co.uk and I will send you a pack out.

Join us for a fun filled Charity Football Match involving a team of Celebrities and Ex Pros against a charity team to Raise money for a local charity. The big event will be taking place on Sunday 9th April 2017 at Bowers and Pitsea F.C, Len Salmon Stadium, Crown Avenue, Pitsea in Essex SS13 2BE. 12pm Kick off with tickets priced at £5 per Adult, £3 for children aged 10 and above and under 10’s are free. There will be something for the whole family to enjoy on the day to from bouncy castles, Children’s Favourite Characters, Raffle alongside some great prizes and stalls plus much more. Last year we raised Just under £6000 and the event organiser Chris Cooper said “I really want to beat this this year by getting even more people through the gate”. Supported by MarkMeets we are expecting the event to be BIGGER THAN EVER. Once again the crazy mud runners of the Hospice are joining together to bring you an event not to be missed. Here is your chance to join our crazy lot and support the Hospice at the same time. You will also be joining one of our very own fundraisers and organiser of this event Kerry Chambers on the course! 7km course distance over ultra-gritty, properly muddy, obstacle-loaded farmland set in the heart of the Secret Bunker Estate. Nuclear  Races are well known for delivering award-winning events with big, high-quality man-made obstacles designed to challenge and test every ability of fitness on fast-paced, flowing, punishing courses over epic natural, varied terrain. Hospice’s annual Summer Fete will be held at the Hospice on Saturday 10th June. This amazing event sees over 2,000 attend and enjoy a variety of stalls, games, entertainment, food and music (just to name a few!). An event truly not to be missed, with some possible special appearances!

Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts at 6am in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.

St Luke's has five places reserved in this prestigious event for riders who commit to raising £500 in sponsorship. Entry is free but we require you to have raised and deposited £200 by the end of March. Join the Stock Brook Ladies Captain for their 25th Anniversary Ladies Open.  A great opportunity to play on the wonderful course at Stock Brook Manor as well as being part of a great day.  The day will start with Teas, coffees and Danish pastries on arrival followed by homemade cakes and Pimms on the terrace at half way. It always includes a 2 course lunch and 18 hole course.  There is a prompt 9.30am start and we ask you to enter in pairs (no handicap limit).               Prizes:- 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Nearest the Pin and Straightest Drive  Closing date for entry is 15th July 2017.
