You can get your friends, family or work colleagues together and raise funds for St. Luke’s Hospice. Big Brew is about enjoying a cup of tea, coffee and delicious cakes or wine, beer and a BBQ or a mixture of all the above with new and old friends.
Your Big Brew can be whatever you want it to be a gathering of friends in your front room, garden party, a community get-together in your local hall or even close your road and have an street party, it can be so much fun for everyone, young an old.

Join us to experience something out of the ordinary. You’ll be strapped to the top of a plane whilst it take off into the skies. You’ll reach speeds of 100mph with just a seat and strap keeping you on. Just think of all the amazing views there will be whilst up in the skies.

Follow England’s greatest river, you choose whether you wish to walk, jog or run. Three distances to choose from – Full route 100km heads upstream from Putney bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame at 50km, then on past wonderful scenery all the way to Henley. Option to choose the distance you wish to complete – 100 km, 50km or 25km.
The 100km can be completed over 24 hours, walking during the day and night (33 hrs max) or over 2 days 50km Saturday and 50km Sunday.

We have joined up with Skyline Event Management to offer people this fantastic Open Challenge, which will see you making your way up the highest peak in the UK, standing at 1344 metres above sea level. This is a truly spectacular trek which will give you the chance to see some of Scotland’s most breathtaking scenery and witness the magnificent views across the Grampian Mountains, and all for a great cause!

Music festival commencing Friday 5th October. Headline band El Sid performing with Simon Stebbing, Derwent and Ian performing a top set, with support from The Lemontops and Mr Bridger. Friday top of the bill is the Reservoir Mods, with support from The Adaptones and one more to be confirmed.
Other bands include; Kev Lock and Adi Clark in the Live room and Mappy and Paul in the second room, playing all the classics tunes and much more.

After the huge success of our first ever St. Luke’s to Luke’s Walk, we once again bring you this amazing event. on Sunday 7th October we will start at St. Luke’s Hospice in Basildon, you will follow a beautiful route through Langdon Hills Country Park to our St. Luke’s House in Corringham.
Enjoy a lovely Cream Tea at the House, then you have a choice from getting a lift back to the Hospice on our Mini Bus or return through another beautiful section of Langdon Hills Country Park completing your 10 mile route.
