Organising your own event

Hosting an event is a great way to support the Hospice and the choices are endless when it comes to deciding what to do.   Here are just a few of our ideas:

Go on a sponsored walk, swim, run a marathon, climb the Three Peaks, lose weight, sponsored head shave or give up smoking.  You can get your friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor you to do something that you have always wanted to do!  We will be more than happy to provide you with bespoke sponsor forms or help you set up a JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving page.

Everyone makes a donation to wear their own choice of clothes at work or school.

Ask your local landlord if you are able to organise a charity quiz or perhaps a darts, domino or pool competition or even a race day/night?

Brew the tea, bake some cakes and help raise funds for St. Luke’s.  Have a tea party at work, school or at home with a few close friends and see how much difference a cuppa can make to the Hospice.

If you do wish to hold an event in aid of the Hospice, please could you let the Fundraising Department know either by telephone on 01268 524973 or e-mail and we will be delighted to provide you with your Letter of Authority, Collection Buckets, Banners and any additional support you may require.

We are also happy to have someone come along to represent St Luke’s at your event whenever possible, whether that is giving a short talk or to say thank you.
