Many people support St. Luke’s by making a donation in memory of their loved ones.
A donation to St. Luke’s Hospice in memory of a loved one will provide a genuinely lasting tribute as well as bring great comfort in knowing that your support is helping others.
Ways to remember
People want to remember their loved ones and mark their lives in different ways that are personal to them, and so there are many ways to give in memory to St. Luke’s Hospice. It’s a straightforward process, and we’re here to help with any questions you might have.
Donate in memory
Any gift you give will go towards helping us provide local Hospice care for local people and will make a difference to the lives of our patients and their families and carers.
It’s traditional to give flowers at a funeral, but more and more people are choosing to commemorate the life of a loved one by donating to a cause close to their heart. Gifts made in memory like this are especially important to St. Luke’s Hospice, as they are a very personal way of remembering someone, whilst also supporting our vital work. These can also be used on special occasions to celebrate their life such as a birthday or an anniversary.
We can provide special individually designed envelopes to use for a funeral collection. The envelopes can be handed back to the person who organised the collection or sent directly back to us.
You may wish to set up a Tribute Fund to collect donations in memory of your loved one. You can set up your own in memory tribute site through Much Loved. You can share memories, photos and videos with friends and family, and any money you raise will continue to support St. Luke’s Hospice.
Take part in an event
Why not take part in one of our events in memory of a loved one, such as our Walking to Remember, 5k Fun Run or take on a challenge like the London Marathon or cycling from London to Paris. Click here to see all our events calendar.
Organise an event
Holding an event in memory of your loved one is a great way to celebrate their life and raise money to help St. Luke’s Hospice continue to support people with life limiting illnesses. Whether you would like to organise a Big Brew, quiz night, meal night or a music concert, any money you raise will have a life-changing impact to our patients and their families.
If you would prefer a more permanent memorial in their name, you may want to dedicate a leaf on our Memory Tree.
The St. Luke’s Hospice Memory Tree is a beautiful, handcrafted metal sculpture set in the Hospice’s main reception that allows personalised engraved leaves to be added to the branches to create a stunning and poignant lasting collection of memories.
